Author Update,  New Releases,  Writer's Life

BLOG POST FROM SHAGGY DOG AUTHOR SUSAN MOORE JORDAN

And This Shall Be for Music, my new novel, had been “percolating” for some time. I had begun the tale in 2017, but soon realized the book needed to be put on the back burner for a while.

Four years and eight mystery novels later, the protagonist, Lindsey Cameron, reminded me she was waiting to tell her story. This time, even though it took a nearly a year and many re-writes, Lindsey was able to complete her journey.

In my new blog post, read more about what this author experienced and learned from her characters and what happened to them. And how music, the center of their lives, never failed them.

A COMPELLING JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY

This book is a dramatic tale of grief and loss, but more importantly of healing. The author teaches us about how music and music therapy can lead to a journey of wholeness and self-discovery. The characters are well developed as are their relationships. It is a book about family interactions, and how we create our chosen families. As an expressive arts therapist myself, I believe that readers will learn a great deal from the characters’ heartwarming journeys. Music lovers will enjoy the opera and classical music references throughout the book.
