This new series is a fusion of cozy mystery and urban/contemporary fantasy. Sloan, a fae, is living anonymously in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. But that could all change. Sloan has a mystery to solve—the sooner the better.

It isn’t unusual for the Pocono Mountain, Pennsylvania winters to turn severe, but this season has been particularly severe. The frozen landscape looked picturesque calm. But on one terrible night, harsh winter winds whipped up a blizzard. The sky turned eerily dark and ominous, leaving the vacant streets buried under mounds of snow, the perfect cover for a killer determined to break into a sleeping household.

Most everyone’s heard of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. But as venerable as these early twentieth century icons are, other masterful sleuths exist with a mystery to solve, not in London, but in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Sherman Howells is an accomplished actor known for his character roles in regional theater. Ronald Watson, technically retired from the international spy game, serves as the stage manager for all of Howells’s productions.

One-time opera singer Augusta McKee, professor of music on two college campuses, is successfully navigating her busy life in stiletto-shod feet—until she comes up against a shocking road block.
